A recent architectural beauty in our backyard!
The Ismaili Centers designed by an Ismaili woman for the Ismaili community. The center’s enduring commitment to “fostering understanding among diverse peoples, communities, and faiths”
Just walking through the building alone illustrates architecturally unique designs between each building. Spaces for social and cultural gatherings, intellectual engagement and reflection, as well as spiritual contemplation. This center is a symbolic marker of the permanent presence of the Ismaili community in the southern region. Representation is emphasized even to a single collegiate student (photo 15).
This is currently my favorite cultural architecture find in Houston thus far.
